Time Service
Allow us to keep your internet based clocks synchronised using our Stratum 1 GPS/MSF time service running with an average accuracy of 244µs.
What is Stratum 1?
Stratum levels define the distance from the reference clock. A reference clock is a Stratum 0 device that is assumed to be accurate and has little or no delay associated with it. The reference clock typically synchronises to the correct time (UTC) using GPS or other time signals. Stratum 0 servers cannot be used on a network, instead, they are directly connected to computers which then operate as Stratum 1 servers. The basic definition of a Stratum 1 time server is that it is directly linked to a reliable source of UTC time. A Stratum 1 time server acts as a primary network time standard.
How to use our time service?
Our time server uses the NTP (Network Time Protocol). Most operating systems support either the Network Time Protocol (NTP) or Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) which are interchangeable. Simply add our time server address time.lavendercam.net to your NTP/SNTP client.
Users / IP addresses that abuse this free service by continually and unreasonably polling the time server will be blocked.
